There is so many activities within a short walk or drive from Frisco. Below are a few of the best rated local hikes to whet your appetitie for adventure. A full list of local hikes can be found here.
SAPPHIRE POINT OVERLOOK (EASY)
This is the easiest and perhaps prettiest hike in the area. Ideal for families with small children. Our two year old loves this flat hike with great views. Sapphire Point Overlook Trail is a 0.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Frisco, Colorado that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and nature trips and is best used from May until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Mount Royal (Hard)
Mount Royal Trail is a 3.2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Frisco, Colorado that features a great forest setting and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and snowshoeing and is best used from February until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Mayflower Gulch (moderate)
Mayflower Gulch Grand Traverse is a 6.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Breckenridge, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Rainbow Lake (Easy/Moderate)
Rainbow Lake Trail is a 2.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Frisco, Colorado that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Mohawk Lakes (Moderate)
Mohawk Lakes Trail is a 8.6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Breckenridge, Colorado that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from July until September. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail
Ten Mile Creek (mOderate)
North Ten Mile Creek Trail is a 6.6 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Frisco, Colorado that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
